Dear colleague

INVITATION TO NLC EFFICIENCY SAVINGS CONSULTATION EVENT FOR THE NORTH LANARKSHIRE VOLUNTARY SECTOR

You will probably be aware that North Lanarkshire Council are currently engaged in a consultation exercise relating to proposed efficiencies and savings options.

To ensure that the voluntary sector is given the opportunity to participate in the consultation, a special North Lanarkshire-wide Voluntary Sector Locality Network event is being held on Monday 18 October 2010 at 3.00pm at Gartlea Community Centre (Hillfoot Road, Airdrie, ML6 9PL).

The event will be structured around the A5 booklet "Hard Choices, Big Decisions" that has been circulated to all North Lanarkshire residents. A member of North Lanarkshire Council's Corporate Management team will present on the savings options facing the Council and take questions as part of the public consultation exercise.
