Sharon is part of the Organisational Development team. She coordinates VANL’s Training & Development function, liaising with development staff and member organisations. One of her main responsibilities is managing and developing the annual training programme. In addition she also co-ordinates VANL’s bespoke training service.
In conjunction with the other members of the Organisational Development team, Sharon also carries out organisational reviews and provides a training needs analysis service to member organisations. Sharon represents VANL on various partnerships including Learning in Lanarkshire, Community Learning and the Training Accord Group.
Sharon co-ordinates the SVA Training & Development Network, as well as jointly co-ordinating the Training and Development Team within VANL. She produces regular training e-bulletins as well as having regular input into other VANL publications, and produces an annual evaluation report on the Training & Development function.
Before coming into post at VANL, Sharon worked for CVS North Lanarkshire, CAVOC, Motherwell College, and has held several other positions in the statutory and private sectors.
