An Update from VANL CEO Maddy Halliday

Dear Colleagues

I want to reassure you that Voluntary Action North Lanarkshire staff are here to support the community and voluntary sector during these very difficult and uncertain times.   We have been busy all week working with partner organisations in the voluntary and statutory sectors to clarify how social and practical support can be provided to vulnerable groups in our community when usual arrangements are suspended.  From next week we will also be liaising with statutory organisations to support wider community resilience plans.

We will provide more information on these arrangements next week and then on an ongoing basis through our Facebook page, E-news and website.  Where appropriate we will also send emails to our contacts but to stay up to date please ensure you like or follow our Facebook  and Twitter pages  and sign up for E-news bulletins.

As advised earlier this week, VANL’s office in Airdrie is closed but you can contact us through and 01236 748011 and your message will be quickly relayed to the most appropriate member of staff. Alternatively, you can contact individual VANL staff directly where you have their email address and/or work mobile number.

The NL community and voluntary sector plays a vital role in supporting local people and communities and VANL is committed to supporting you to support them.

Take good care

Maddy Halliday
